Many of the 410 kanji used on the AP® Japanese Language and Culture Exam appear throughout the lesson dialogues. Activities throughout the series encourage students to make comparisons between their own culture and Japan’s, thus strengthening their understanding of both. There are also AP®-style Text Chat review activities at the end of every lesson which model real-life text chat exchanges on topics related to the lesson. Compared to the previous volumes, Volume 3 presents more develop Text Chat review activities, as well as AP®-style Conversation and Discussion activities.

For more advanced learners looking for specialized practice for the AP® Exam, we strongly recommend Dekiru! and Strive for a 5: AP* Japanese Practice Tests.
