Book Navigation
The platform provides different tools for users to enable them to easily navigate the book in the eReader.
1. Log in to the portal.
2. Go to the "Library" and click on the Content thumbnail to launch the content.
Hotspots
Hotspots for any Resources (audio, video, documents) will also appear in the book. Click on a hotspot within the book to access that resource.
Audio
You may do the following with the audio player:
Pause and play the audio.
Jump to a different part of the audio.
Adjust or mute the audio sound.
Adjust the playback speed. (Three dots)
Download the audio. (Three dots)
Arrows: Move the audio box between the bottom-right corner of the page and the center of the page.
Video
You may do the following with the video player:
Pause and play the video.
Jump to a different part of the video.
Adjust or mute the video sound.
Enter or exit full screen.
Adjust the playback speed. (Three dots)
Picture in picture (Three dots): Open the video in a new window that can be resized and moved around the screen. To resize, hover the mouse over the edge of the video until two arrows appear.
Document
Documents are any other resource files that are attached to the book, such as a word document or a PDF. Click on the document icon in the center to open/download the document.
Bookmarks
Add Bookmarks
Users can add a bookmark on the top corner of an eBook using the "Bookmark" feature. The bookmarks will be saved in the book. The list of bookmarks can be viewed in the "Bookmark" menu on the left panel of the eReader.
(Note: The student/teacher/school admin/district admin can view only those bookmarks that they have created themselves.)
Follow the below steps to add a bookmark:
1. Click the "Bookmark" icon on the top corner of the page that you wish to bookmark.
2. To view all the bookmarks, click on the Bookmark icon on the left menu. You can sort the bookmarks with the date and the page number.
3. If you want to remove a bookmark, click on the highlighted bookmark at the top of the page.
Notes
Make Notes
The platform allows users to add "Text Note" and "On-Tap" notes within an eBook. The notes will be saved in the book. The list of notes can be viewed in the Note menu on the left panel of the eReader.
(Note: The student/teacher/school admin/district admin can view only those notes that they have created themselves.)
Follow the below steps to make the note:
1. You can create notes in two ways:
a) Create an "On-Tap" note:
Click on the "Add Note" icon on the top right of the page.
Click anywhere on the page to add a note. Add a note in the note box and click "Save."
A note icon will be created on the page. You can drag and navigate this icon on the page. Click on an icon to edit or remove a note.
b) Create a "Text Note":
Select a text and click on the "Add Note" icon on the top right of the page.
Add a note in the note box and click "Save." A note icon will be created on the selected text.
You can click on the selected text to view, update, and remove the note.
You can view all the notes by clicking on the Notes icon on the left menu and sort the notes by date and page number.
Highlights
Add Highlights
The Highlight feature enables the user to highlight text in an eBook. The highlighted text will be saved in the book and the list of highlighted content can be viewed in the Highlight menu on the left panel of the eReader.
(Note: The student/teacher/school admin/district admin can view only those highlights that they have created themselves.)
Follow the below steps to highlight the content:
1. Select the text you want to highlight.
2. Click on the "Highlight" icon on the top right of the page.
3. You can change the color of the highlight by clicking on the color options.
4. You can also change the highlight style by clicking on the "Change Style" buttons.
5. Click "Save" to highlight the selected text.
You can view all the highlights by clicking on the highlight option on the left panel.
You can sort the highlight by date entered and the page number.
