Using Groups

(Note: Video is optional. Below article contains additional, specific information on setting up groups.)

Teachers can create groups to assign content, activities, and handouts to a portion of their students within a class or across multiple classes.

Create a group:

1. Login to FluencyLink
2. Go to "Group"
   
   
3. Click on "Add Group"
   
   
4. Enter in the name of your group
   
   
5. You can add students now or at a later time. See the section below "Add students to your group" for further instructions.
6. Click "Save"

Add students to your group:

While adding or editing a group:

1. Select the class you want to add students from
   
2. Select the names of the students you want to add to your group from the Student(s) List section
   • Note: You can select multiple students by holding Ctrl and left-clicking with your mouse
3. Click on the right arrow to move the students to the Student(s) Added section
   
4. Click "Save" when done

Edit an existing group:

1. Go to "Group"
2. Click on the "Edit" pencil icon for the group you want to change
   
3. You can now
   • Change the name of the group
   • Add students to the group
   • Remove students from the group
4. After making your changes, click "Save"
   

Remove students from your group:

While adding or editing a group:

1. Select the names of the students you want to move from your group in the Student Added section
   • Note: You can select multiple students by holding Ctrl and left-clicking with your mouse
2. Click on the left arrow to move the students out of the Student Added section
   

Delete a group:

1. You will need to remove all students from the group you want to delete
2. Click on the "Delete" icon
   
   
   
3. Click "Yes" to confirm you want to delete the group
