Evaluations and Activities Reassignment 


Video Tutorial: Evaluate Assessment & Performance Reports

(Note: Video is optional. Below article contains additional, specific information on evaluations. See also: Performance Reports Article)




Introduction

This guide will cover what you can find under the Activities > Evaluation tab via the side panel.



Evaluation Interface



Search by Test

  • Search to limit results by title.

Class Name (filter)

  • View tests for all classes or select a particular class from the dropdown.

Linked to content (filter)

  • View tests for all content or select a particular piece of content.

(Note: This must be defined in your test settings.)

Title

  • Use the up/down arrows to sort tests alphabetically. 

Assigned To

  • Name of class.

Linked to content

  • Content defined in test settings (see filter note above).

Assigned Date


Due Date

  • Use the up/down arrows to sort by due date.

Evaluate

Example: 1/3 indicates 1 out of 3 students have submitted their answers.

Pending Evaluation

Example: 1 indicates there is 1 student whose results still need to be evaluated.


Click on the right arrow to locate a student to evaluate. (See next image below.)





  • See Cumulative Report.

  • See Reassign Activity.

  • Click to hide or expand the list of students in this section.

  • Click to evaluate the results for the student in this row.

  • Click to hide or expand the list of students in this section.

  • See Reassign Activity.

  • Send a notification containing the message in the text box to the selected students. This will appear on their Notifications tab when they login to FluencyLink.



Auto-scored Questions

The following question types will be automatically scored, but can be adjusted if necessary. 

  • Single Choice

  • Multiple Choice

  • Ordering

  • Association

  • Match the Following

  • Fill in the Blanks

  • Fill in the Blanks with Dropdown

  • Fill in the Blanks with Drag and Drop




Manual Grading

The following question types need to be manually checked and scored by the teacher. 

  • Descriptive

  • Audio Recording

  • Drawing

  • Drag and Drop with Image


Evaluate Student Response

Follow the below steps to evaluate student responses.


1. Log in to the portal.


2. Click "Activities" on the left-hand side menu.


3. Click "Evaluation" in the sub-menu.


Here, the teacher will be able to see all the activity details, along with details like Assigned To, Due Date, Evaluate, and Pending Evaluation. 


4. Click the arrow under "Pending Evaluation" or the Title of the activity.



You will see the below screen.



5. The teacher/publisher will see the list of students for whom the evaluation is pending by clicking on the "Pending Evaluation" tab. 


6. Click "Evaluate" for a particular student to see all the questions attempted by that student in a pop-up. The set of questions in the entire activity can be of any question type.



The student’s answers will pop-up on the screen.




7. The teacher will be able to see the responses given.


8. The teacher/publisher can read the answer provided by the student, assign or adjust the score, and provide feedback manually (optional). Scores will be rounded to two decimal places.




9. Click "Submit" to send the final score and feedback to the student. Activity feedback can be given for the activity as a whole.



Reassign Activity

This feature allows teachers to reassign the activity to the selected students in the following scenarios:


1. To allow students to take the same activity again for improvement and practice. If the student has already attempted the activity which is selected for re-assignation then the currently recorded data will be deleted and will not be retrieved. 


2. To allow students to take the test in case they have missed the deadlines or not submitted the activity. Teachers can set the due date while reassigning the activity.


Already Submitted

Follow the below steps to reassign the activity if students have already submitted the activity.


1. Log in to the portal.


2. Click 'Activities' on the left-hand side menu.


3. Click 'Evaluation' in the sub-menu.



4. Click on the arrow icon to select the activity you wish to reassign.


5. Click 'Reassign'



6. Select the student by checking the checkbox to whom you want to reassign the activity.



7. Click 'Reassign Now'.


7. If the student has already attempted the activity which is selected for re-assignation then the currently recorded data will be deleted and will not be retrieved. You can set the due date while reassigning the activity.


Click 'OK' in the confirmation message pop up and reassign the activity.



Not Submitted

Follow the below steps to reassign the activity if students have not submitted the activity or missed the deadline. 


1. Log in to the portal.


2. Click 'Activities' on the left-hand side menu.


3. Click 'Evaluation' in the sub-menu.


4. Click on the arrow icon to select the activity you wish to reassign.


5. Click 'Not Responded' to view the list of students who have not submitted the activity yet.


6. Select the student by checking the checkbox to whom you want to reassign the activity.



7. Click the 'Reassign' button.


8. Teachers can set the due date while reassigning the activity. Click 'OK' in the confirmation message pop up and reassign the activity.



Cumulative Report


The Cumulative Report is a summary of activity results for all evaluated students.


Here you will see whether students got questions correct, partially correct, or incorrect, as well as average data about the class.


This report may be exported as an Excel file by clicking the button on the bottom right.
