Check with IT

Schools with third-party integrations: Check in with school’s IT personnel to make sure that no integration parameter has changed since the previous year. If a parameter has changed, please reach out to us to update us at support@cheng-tsui.com.

Deactivate Teachers and Students

Note: If using an integration, you cannot deactivate teachers and students through FluencyLink. Do so through your SIS or rostering tool.

School/district admins: Deactivate students to free up licenses for other teachers.

Roster > Teacher > Deactivate

School/district admins and teachers: Deactivate students to free up licenses for new students.

Roster > Student > Deactivate

Select School/District if applicable.

Full Guide: Add Class/Teacher/Student – See ‘Deactivate Student’ and ‘Deactivate Teacher’ sections.

Reach out to Cheng & Tsui to reset sync

Email support@cheng-tsui.com to inform us if you have deactivated a large number of students. If your SIS is set to push deletions as well as additions, this step should not be necessary, but we have found that many users only push students additively. Please note that we will reset all syncs on August 1.

Adjust License Count

District/School Admins: Adjust license counts if needed.

License > Assign

Full Guide: Assign License to School or Teacher

Promote Students to Another Class

School/District Admins and Individual Teachers: Promote students to other classes.

Roster > Class > Promote

Note: This function is NOT available for teachers within a school/district.

Full Guide: Promote Students to Another Class

Assign Content to Students

Teachers: Assign Content to students.

Learning Content > Assign Content.
